Dexterity Retarded Keyboard |
 |
I was browsing www.engadget.com and noticed this post about some new fandangle keyboard that you press on the keys from behind the device looking through a clear plasic layer with white buttons for the keys.

This is not a good thing for those of us who find it hard enough to not press the wrong key all the time... Not to mention that constantly holding onto a keyboard might get a little painful, imagine playing xbox for 8 hours straight while at work constantly picking the keyboard up and using then placing it back down. I can see a lot of people developing some very un nessesary muscles for this keyboards use only.
Interesting Idea but I think we are jumping a generational gap or two in keyboard desgin here and need to allow natural technological evloution.
Picture found on www.engadget.com check them out, great tech website.

I am always ready for a good laugh, check this one out that Anthony from work sent to me over ichat.
A young woman brought her fiancé to visit her parents. After a nice dinner, the father invited the fiancé to the library for a drink. "So what are your plans?" he asked the young man. "I am a Torah scholar," he replied. "A Torah scholar. Hmmm," said the father. "Admirable, but how will you provide a home for my daughter?" "I will study," the young man said, "and God will provide for us." "And how will you buy her an engagement ring, such as she deserves?" "I will focus on my studies and God will provide for us." "And how will you support your children?" "Don't worry, sir. God will provide." The conversation continued like this; each time the father questioned, the young idealist insisted that God would provide. Later, when the mother asked about the male conversation, the father sighed, "Well, he has no job and no plan, but the good news is: he thinks I'm God!"

iPhone jail birds - watch the poisoned seed |
 |
It would appear that based on the iphone-dev.org teams advise, some users of iphone jailbreaks maybe at risk of some potential issues soon...
Reports that the Indipendent hardware that runs along side the iphone os with in the iphone ( aka "Baseband" ) has received an update in the latest 2.2 iphone firmware update. This would potentially be a very good thing for iphone users and with any luck fix any if not all of the iphone call related issues.
There is however a new risk that comes from this for iphone jail birds and their un-official versions of the iphone os. The iphone-dev.org team has posted on their website a word of warning to all jail birds with regards to this 2.2 update and possibly more seriously future updates ( eg > 2.2 ) because the iphone software update for 2.2 includes the "Baseband" firmware update its beleived that there is a risk this could cause your iphone to lock up due to an unsuccessful jailbreak and you will find your self with an extremely expensive brick.
The iphone-dev.org team has strongly advised NOT to use the "QuickPwn" tool at all! and appears to be advising that you need to use the "PwnageTool" instead as it seems to be a much more stable unlocking tool.
For more information on how to follow this advise from the iphone-dev.org team, please visit their website and read the post to which this information has come from. iphone-dev.org
